Helmet Finish up Day

Today I worked on finished up the final specs of the helmet.  All of it was about the color of it.  However mid way through the process my Maya crashed and I was forced to restart back before any color or lights had been applied or made.

Easter In a Few

Today I was able to finish up my helmet and mirror it to the other side.  I am now trying to improve it my adding a material that will cause it to look metal like.

print("Date here")

I was able to figure out what was wrong with my original helmet.  I had not deleted the faces that look toward the inside of the mask in the mouth piece.  That was preventing me from bridging correctly.  I just finished adding the face plate on and touching up on the helmets overall smoothness.

Today!!

I started off by trying to finish my helmet.  However I quickly ran into technical difficulties and my computer stopped working.  Glad that I will be able to start over the helmet to perfect what I had previously done.

Digital Art Show

At the beginning of class we headed over to the IB Digital Art Show.  There were quite a few of Maya creations that I noticed.  After returning to class we continued to work on our Helmet.  I am right around the part where the front of face mask is being added on, and the nose piece was just brought up.

T+2 Days After Spring Break

We started the helmet today.  It is quite a complex project, but does appear to have a result that is satisfying.  I am just now adding the chin piece and hope to get much farther next class.

Asset Day

We went to the Asset Day Presentation.  It was about a woman that had had many unfortunate events occur in her life.  But it was all in the idea of building a stronger "unshakable character."

DONE Texturing

Here is the textured box of quackers!

4/6/11

Texturing was the focus today.  We practiced by making a box of crackers with a pre-made texture.  We then edited what would show up on each side and moved it around until it fitted the box.

4/4/11

Today was a catchup day for those that were not done with the previous projects.  I started to work on a tennis ball shooter and got the animation to shoot it out before deciding what I wanted in the animation.

5 Best

The triangle made by the hour and minute hands draws the attention to the back while at the same time drawing attention to the other side, to the 4, because of its emense size.

The harsh lines of the bottom of the dresser cause the attention to be drawn to the bottom of the picture. The blurriness of the rest of the picture helps keep the attention towards the bottom.

The slight curves against a much darker background give the leaf a new feel and a new look.

The linear movement to the top right of the picture gives it an interesting form.

This picture allows the viewer to wonder what they are seeing, but also see it in many different focuses.  Going across the image, the object enters and leaves focus.
