Deformers were introduced to us today. The power of them and what they can do. However we only know them in their simpliest form, they will eventually become a tool at our disposal to mold our creations.

We learned about beveling and working on polygons. Specifically we learned how to append a polygon and delete faces. The bevel tool was the focus of today, we beveled a variation of objects and changed the offset while observing what happened with the different offsets. The smaller the offset, the smaller the bevel length. This is helpful when trying to make a fine fine edge on an object.

Today was a catchup day/mess around day. By mess around I mean explore the parts of Maya that had previously not been shown to me. I messed around with the lightning and fire dynamics. Then found the fur effect. Which not practical in most purposes was fun to add to structures.

Today was a catch up day for the egg, egg holder, and the salt shaker. I worked all day on all of them and completed all of them.

Egg (Holder)
We started today working on the egg holder and egg from the tutorial. It was quite frustrating repeating the same steps three times to achieve the image in the tutorial. After creating the egg holder I moved on to the egg where I am currently working on. I am just about to make the nose and eyes. And from there even further.

Today was a catchup day for everyone. I myself was already done with both the temple and curvy thing and had the period to sign up for classes and do homework.

DONE Curvy thing

This is my Curvy creature that we started working on today. It took a little bit to learn the where to find the taper and other editing options. After that it became much easier.
